3 Cime di Lavaredo

	The best known mountains in the Dolomites in northern Italy, the 3 Cime de Lavaredo (in German known as the Drei Zinnen) are located in a favorite area for hiking. Three friends of mine and I decided this year (2011) to hike to these famous mountains in the Italian Alps.


		This trip was a first time for Dieter Koslowski, who joined Robert, Josi and me for a climbing tour.

		High in the mountains, we stayed overnight in the Sigmondy Hut. (Left) Below, you can see me without a beard for the first time in 12 years.

		But the way to get there was more difficult than we imagined.
