When I broke a cable that goes into my Rolloff gearbox, Mr Killer sacrificed his lunch to fix my bicycle so I could continue on my journey. He gave me some incredibly quick service in time of need.

Als ich eine Kabel gebrochen habe, die in mein Rohloff Schaltbox führt, hat Herr Killer sein Mittagsessen geopfert, damit ich weiterfahren konnte. Er hat super Service geleistet in kurzester Zeit.

Sports Shop NORDCAMP in Greifswald (just behind the Rathaus) is one of the best sport shops I’ve been to. This young man provides excellent tips and is one of the most helpful people I’ve met. His shop is never empty. People were coming and going the whole time I was in the shop. Check it out! Greifswald was also a super city to visit.

How do I keep track of where I am? Easy! Not only do I use bicycle FC maps, the Garmin handheld GPS accompanies me wherever I go. Normally, I plan my route a few days in advance. Do I follow exactly where the GPS route system leads me? Of course not. The GPS is just a nav aid. One of the most useful features is in the city. If there is a lot of traffic, I can see at a glance where the side streets are and how I can use them to avoid the traffic and the pollution odors. Important for people with lung problems.

Wie weiss ich wo ich bin? Einfach! Ich gebrauche nicht nur Radkarten, sonder auch ein Garmin GPS CS60. Normalerweise plane ich meine Route ein Paar Tage im voraus. Gehe ich immer dahin, wo mein GPS mich führt? Natürlich nicht. Es ist nur eine Navigationshilfe. Besonders hilfreich ist mein GPS, wenn ich durch eine Stadt fahre. Auf einem Blick zeigt es mir wo die Seitenstrassen sind, damit ich sie gebrauchen kann, um den Verkehr und Abgase zu vermeiden. Wichtig für Lungenkranke.
