Geese fly in a V form, ducks in a row. It took me a while to realize these were geese. Gänse fliegen immer im V, Enten in einer Reihe.
This freaked me out. The hunters, all wearing bright orange, lined up over 400 yards, then sent the dogs out to chase out the rabbits. I remember when I was a young man going rabbit hunting. It was real sport traipsing through the brush with no more in clothing the same color and then shooting the rabbits when they jumped out in front of us. (Kein Deutsch für dieses Foto)

Friedrichstadt is like a Dutch city in Germany, complete with canals and Dutch-style buildings. Friedrichstadt ist wie eine niederländische Stadt in Deutschland, komplet mit Grachten und holländische Gebäuden.
The church below was built in 1624. The text is written in a mixture of Middle High German and Dutch. The last line says “God give here peace, to him be the glory” Gebaut in 1624, das Schild für die Kirche unten wird auf ein Gemisch zwischen Mittelhochdeutsch und Holländisch. In der letzten Zeile liest man “Gott gebe hier Frieden, Ihm sei die Ehre”
You can even ride in a gondola through the canals of the city. Hier kann man sogar mit einem Gondol durch die Grachten fahren.
